IL REPORTAGE E LA STORIA
La pratica del cosplay è nata trent’anni fa in Giappone e da un ventennio si è diffusa anche in Italia con un seguito molto nutrito di ragazzi e ragazze, alcuni dei quali anche non più giovanissimi, che amano interpretare, a volte anche in modo minuzioso stando attenti ai dettagli, i loro personaggi preferiti dei comics, manga, anime, videogames o della cinematografia.
Una realtà, questa dei raduni cosplayer, che in altre regioni d’Italia è diventata consuetudine, se pensiamo all’Emilia Romagna, alla Lombardia, al Veneto o alla Liguria; di un certo rilievo, infatti, sono i raduni di cosplayer al “Parco Sigurtà” di Peschiera del Garda e quello dei Parchi di Genova-Nervi con cadenza settembrina. Tutti con un grande seguito.
Grande seguito che avrà anche il 1° Raduno degli “Amazing Cosplayers” che si svolgerà l'8 e il 9 Marzo a Genova.
Da questo raduno partirà l'idea di uno Short Movie “The Day of The Heroes”, un entusiasmante cortometraggio con trama e sceneggiatura assolutamente originali, con molta “Action” e finale a sorpresa.
A questa idea verrà correlato un reportage giornalistico, un viaggio a 360° nel mondo del cosplay attraverso le sensazioni, le emozioni e la passione dei cosplayer italiani che vi parteciperanno. Un video-foto reportage, accompagnato anche da backstages e interviste per creare un'esperienza unica, mai realizzata in Italia. La scoperta di un mondo ancora, in parte, troppo sommerso con l'obiettivo di trasformarlo in una vera e propria espressione artistica a tutto tondo, un “lifestyle” che può coniugarsi benissimo con il mondo più prettamente “fashion”.
Verranno svelati tutti, o quasi, i segreti per realizzare un cosplay a regola d'arte e i diretti interessati ci faranno conoscere i loro metodi per realizzarlo, le loro aspettative e il fatto di cosa si prova ad essere e ad interpretare, per un giorno, il proprio personaggio preferito dei fumetti, manga, anime, film o videogames.
Inoltre, ci racconteranno la loro esperienza di cosa si prova a salire su un palco ed esibirsi nel ruolo del proprio character preferito, davanti a migliaia e migliaia di persone durante i “Cosplay Contest” che ogni anno e in occasione di ogni fiera del fumetto, tra le quali Lucca Comics & Games e CartooMIcs, vengono organizzati. Tra questi cosplayers conosceremo il gruppo che ha vinto il primo premio alla Fiera del Fumetto di Poirino, il “Premio Cinecittà” in occasione di Lucca Comics & Games 2013, e il “Premio Simpatia” e il “Premio Speciale della Giuria” all' ICOMIX di Assago.
L'universo del cosplay ha un forte impatto mediatico: non a caso alcuni dei più importanti quotidiani nazionali e regionali come “Il Corriere della Sera”, “Il Tirreno”, il “Secolo XIX”,
“Il Piccolo di Alessandria” o magazine online del settore e non come “Japanimando” e “Over News Magazine”, e, addirittura, canali televisivi tematici e non del circuito "Sky" vi hanno dedicato articoli, trafiletti, se non, addirittura, interviste.
Questo mondo, appassiona e coinvolge persone di ogni età: dal bambino, il quale si emoziona dalla contentezza di vedere il proprio eroe o personaggio preferito in costume e armatura, all'adulto, che, magari, da una posizione di scetticismo passa, l'anno successivo, a provare cosa significa essere in questo universo, dimenticando, almeno per un paio di giorni, i problemi della quotidianità che ci attanagliano.
Interessante sarà anche un breve videoclip dove ogni cosplayers si sentirà "L'eroe del giorno" interpretando le mosse e le caratteristiche del personaggio che rappresenta.
Questo universo, in più, permette anche di realizzare elaborazioni grafiche digitali uniche per poter inserire meglio il cosplayer, che posa appositamente, in un contesto ancora più consono al personaggio che rappresenta. Le immagini riportate, pubblicate solo ed eclusivamente a puro scopo esplicativo e dimostrativo, sono l'esempio di come una foto scattata ad un cosplayer che interpreta il suo personaggio preferito durante, magari, una rappresentazione fieristica, possa essere rielaborata in Computer Graphic ( CG ) e divenire un'opera digitale di alta qualità a tutti gli effetti.
Pertanto, l'intento di questa produzione, assolutamente no-profit, senza pretese di alcuna sorta e tipo e prodotto con autofinanziamenti, in parte, e con l'aiuto volontario dei sostenitori che ci auguriamo di trovare in questo sito, è quello di mostrare realmente il vero “volto” e “la vera anima” di questa metodologia di fare “Entertainment”. Come abbiamo già detto, un viaggio a 360°, che coinvolge tutto il panorama dell'universo “cosplaying”. Un'esperienza unica e straordinaria...
GLI INTERPRETI
Gli interpreti saranno tutti i cosplayers e impersonator italiani, provenienti da ogni parte d'Italia
e ognuno con la propria armatura e/o costume caratterizzante.
L'intero progetto verrà sviluppato dal Fashion Photographer e Visual Artist Marco Lorè in qualità di organizzatore, fotografo e direttore della fotografia.
LUOGO E DATE
Parco Divertimenti “Mirabilandia”, Ravenna. Sabato 8 e Domenica 9 Marzo 2014.
I tempi di montaggio, editing e realizzazione in generale di tutto il materiale saranno compresi tra i 6 e 8 mesi dal giorno successivo alla ripresa del short movie e del reportage,con eventuali festività escluse.
I COSTI:
COSPLAYER LIFESTYLE: THE DAY OF THE HEROES è un progetto artistico senza scopo di lucro, di nicchia, non ha pretesa di alcuna sorta e sarà sostenuto dal lavoro volontario di moltissime persone. Nonostante tutto, sono comunque previste spese inevitabili per un totale di 5.000 euro, che serviranno per coprire, in parte, costi quali:

THE REPORTAGE AND THE STORY:
The practice of cosplay was born thirty years ago in Japan and in the last twenty years has spread to Italy fascinating a very high amount of boys and girls , some of which also no longer young , who love to play , sometimes paying attention to detail, their favorite characters coming from comics , manga, anime, video games or movies.
Gatherings of cosplayers are organized in many Italian regions such as Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Veneto and Liguria. Amongst the most important gatherings we find : the one organized in Peschiera del Garda, at the "Sigurtà", and the one born in Genoa, at the "Nervi Park". Both of them can count on a lage amount of followers.
Followers that will build the 1st Meeting of " Amazing Cosplayers ," taking place on 8 and 9 March in Genova, Liguria, Italy. During this meeting will be developed the idea of a short film, " The Day of Heroes" , a sort of “Fan Movie” with exciting plot and completely original screenplay , with a lot of "action" and a surprise ending . In addition, there will be a brief journalistic reportage, a 360 ° journey into the world of cosplay through feelings , emotions and passions of all the Italian Cosplayers participating to the event. A video - reportage , with interviews and special backstages, to create a unique event, never made or seen before in Italy. The discovery of a world, still partly unknown , aiming to transform the Cosplay phenomenon into a true artistic expression, a "lifestyle” which can be easly combined with the fashion world.
We'll talk with the Cosplayers of their experience, what it feels like for them to stand on a stage performing the role of their favorite character in front of thousands of people during the " Cosplay Contest" organized every year and at every fair of comics, including Lucca Comics & Games and CARTOOMICS in Milan. Amongst these cosplayers, we will meet the group that won "The First Prize" at the Fair of Comics in Poirino , the "Cinecittà Prize " at Lucca Comics & Games 2013 and the "Special Award " and the " Special Jury Award "at ICOMIX in Milan.
Cosplay universe has a strong impact on the media; in the latest years some of the major italian newspapers have started dedicating many articles and interviews to it. "Il Corriere della Sera ", " Il Tirreno ", "Il Secolo XIX" , " Il Piccolo di Alexandria " or online magazine such as " Japanimando " and "Over News Magazine," are only the most famous among a wide number of magazines that have started to pay attention to the Cosplay phenomenon. Least but not last, the "Sky" network dedicated a lot of time on various channels.
The Cosplay world, fascinates and involves every kind of people : children, who are very happy about the joy of seeing their favorite heroes in costume and armor, and adults who, perhaps , after an initial position of skepticism , want to experience what it means being one in this universe , evading , at least for a couple of days , from the everyday life.
The short videoclip, included in this project, it's very representitve because gives you the opportunity to watch the cosplayers interpreting the moves and the gimmick of the character they act, giving you a little taste of this universe.
Cosplay events also allows to create unique digital graphic elaborations in order to introduce the cosplayers in a more interesting and more explosive environment that maximize the visual effects of their characters. The pictures, here published as samples, for demonstration only, are just an example of how a simple picture of a character, can be edited in Computer Graphics (CG) and be transformed in a superb elaboration of digital artwork in high definition.
We are proud to state that the intent of this production is absolutely no profit , with no claims and the project is realized in part with self-financing , and in part thanks to the help of volunteer, supporters and financers, the kind of support we hope to find here.
Through this project we want to show "the true face" and " the real soul " of cosplay universe. A unique and extraordinary experience...
THE CAST:
The cast will be composed by cosplayers and reenactors coming from every part of Italy, each of them wearing his own armor\costume based on the character interpreted. The entire project will be developed by Fashion Photographer and Visual Artsit Marco Lorè that will lead the program as organizer , screenplayer, photographer, cinematographer and visual artist.
PLACE AND DATE:
The project will be hosted by “Mirabilandia Amusement Park", Ravenna, the short film will be recorded in March 8-9, 2014 . The timing of editing, post production and overall rework of the whole material is estimated to go between 6 and 8 months, starting from the day after the shooting and the making of reportage. Holydays are not included as working days.

GLI INTERPRETI
Gli interpreti saranno tutti i cosplayers e impersonator italiani, provenienti da ogni parte d'Italia
e ognuno con la propria armatura e/o costume caratterizzante.
L'intero progetto verrà sviluppato dal Fashion Photographer e Visual Artist Marco Lorè in qualità di organizzatore, fotografo e direttore della fotografia.

The discovery of a world, still partly unknown , aiming to transform the Cosplay phenomenon into a true artistic expression, a "lifestyle” which can be easly combined with the fashion world.
We'll talk with the Cosplayers of their experience, what it feels like for them to stand on a stage performing the role of their favorite character in front of thousands of people during the " Cosplay Contest" organized every year and at every fair of comics, including Lucca Comics & Games and CARTOOMICS in Milan. Amongst these cosplayers, we will meet the group that won "The First Prize" at the Fair of Comics in Poirino , the "Cinecittà Prize " at Lucca Comics & Games 2013 and the "Special Award " and the " Special Jury Award "at ICOMIX in Milan.
Cosplay universe has a strong impact on the media; in the latest years some of the major italian newspapers have started dedicating many articles and interviews to it. "Il Corriere della Sera ", " Il Tirreno ", "Il Secolo XIX" , " Il Piccolo di Alexandria " or online magazine such as " Japanimando " and "Over News Magazine," are only the most famous among a wide number of magazines that have started to pay attention to the Cosplay phenomenon. Least but not last, the "Sky" network dedicated a lot of time on various channels.
The Cosplay world, fascinates and involves every kind of people : children, who are very happy about the joy of seeing their favorite heroes in costume and armor, and adults who, perhaps , after an initial position of skepticism , want to experience what it means being one in this universe , evading , at least for a couple of days , from the everyday life.
The short videoclip, included in this project, it's very representitve because gives you the opportunity to watch the cosplayers interpreting the moves and the gimmick of the character they act, giving you a little taste of this universe.
Cosplay events also allows to create unique digital graphic elaborations in order to introduce the cosplayers in a more interesting and more explosive environment that maximize the visual effects of their characters. The pictures, here published as samples, for demonstration only, are just an example of how a simple picture of a character, can be edited in Computer Graphics (CG) and be transformed in a superb elaboration of digital artwork in high definition.
We are proud to state that the intent of this production is absolutely no profit , with no claims and the project is realized in part with self-financing , and in part thanks to the help of volunteer, supporters and financers, the kind of support we hope to find here.
Through this project we want to show "the true face" and " the real soul " of cosplay universe. A unique and extraordinary experience...
THE CAST:
The cast will be composed by cosplayers and reenactors coming from every part of Italy, each of them wearing his own armor\costume based on the character interpreted. The entire project will be developed by Fashion Photographer and Visual Artsit Marco Lorè that will lead the program as organizer , screenplayer, photographer, cinematographer and visual artist.
PLACE AND DATE:
The project will be hosted by “Mirabilandia Amusement Park", Ravenna, the short film will be recorded in March 8-9, 2014 . The timing of editing, post production and overall rework of the whole material is estimated to go between 6 and 8 months, starting from the day after the shooting and the making of reportage. Holydays are not included as working days.

COSPLAYER LIFESTYLE : THE DAY OF HEROES is a No Profit project with absolutely no economic purposes and its realization is supported by the volunteer work of many people.
