The film illuminates exemplary the importance of the territory of the Bolsena Lake in Latium – and particularly the context of the current ecological condition which demands a social shift in civil consciousness and a prompt action on the part of the responsible persons and institutions. Scientists and experts in the field of ecology, biology, climate research, philosophy, sustainable development of the territory come with their vital assessments of the situation thoroughly to speak - and also very concrete by going on the base - fishermen and farmers.

"Our lake", stands for quasi all the lakes - and the identification is as an appeal to our responsibility -  which is emphatically conveyed by the protagonists of the film.

“Lago Nostro – Futuro Nostro” illumina in maniera esemplare la bellezza e l'importanza del territorio del Lago di Bolsena (Lazio), particolarmente nel contesto della corrente condizione ecologica - che richiede un mutamento nella coscienza civile e una pronta azione da parte delle persone e delle istituzioni responsabili.  Scienziati e esperti del campo di Ecologia, Biologia, Ricerca sul Clima, Filosofia, Sviluppo sostenibile del Territorio - vengono con le loro valutazioni vitali della situazione accuratamente a parlare - ma anche di molto concreto andando alla base – il pescatore e il contadino.

Questo documento non solo fornisce analisi sullo stato ecologico - ma dà nello stesso tempo una visione chiara come risolvere i problemi ecologici attuali.

Carla Zickfeld is a cultural operator, involved in interdisciplinary and international cultural projects, f .e. in the direction of the “European Centre for the Integration and Communication of the Arts” (1987 – 2007) with the EU-Commission award  "Europe of Culture” . In 2009 she founded the Project "Mare Nostrum - Space for Dialogue and Diversity” with exemplary socio-cultural field-researches in West Africa on the people of the sea in times of transformation and uncertainty -  www.marnostrum.net

Stefan Karkow is a freelance artist and activist, specialized in visual communications. In 1987 he founded in Italy (together with Carla Zickfeld) a “European Centre for the Integration and Communication of the  Arts ”. - The documentary  “Our Lake - Our Future“ stands in the context of his regional activities.
